Info

Pondagross Private Collection (PPC) is the private collection of James Pondagross and at the same time a closed network in which selected models, photographers and collectors can collaborate.

PPC was created out of the need for a professional environment in which assignments involving photographic content are clearly defined in advance and where all parties involved can rely on clear agreements, discretion and a structured financial process.

James Pondagross does not create photographic content himself. Assignments within the collection are carried out by photographers who have also been admitted to PPC. Other collectors may also join by invitation and commission assignments through PPC.

How does an assignment work?

A collector determines what content he wants to have created and selects a model, photographer and, where applicable, a specific location.

The assignment is described in advance in a moodboard. This may include the desired style, reference images, content levels, photographer, location, compensation and other practical conditions.

The model can indicate in advance which proposed content levels and conditions she is willing to accept.

The collector then decides whether he wishes to award the assignment under those conditions.

Only once the assignment has been definitively awarded and accepted do the agreed conditions become binding on the parties involved.

This ensures that everyone knows what is expected before the shoot takes place.

Payment through PPC

For paid assignments, the agreed budget is reserved in advance with PPC by the collector.

Once the assignment has been carried out correctly, PPC handles the payment in accordance with the agreed terms.

This means that the model does not have to pursue the collector for payment after the shoot.

At the same time, the same structure gives the collector assurance that the reserved budget remains linked to the assignment that was agreed in advance.

If a shoot does not proceed according to the agreed terms, PPC can act as an intermediary and the financial settlement is assessed on the basis of the conditions agreed beforehand.

Protection for all parties involved

The agreements do not apply only to models.

Photographers and collectors are also bound by the conditions of a definitively awarded assignment.

If, for example, a photographer cancels a shoot at short notice, PPC can ensure that the model is compensated in accordance with the agreed conditions and that approved costs already incurred, such as travel or accommodation expenses, are reimbursed.

PPC then handles the further financial settlement with the party that failed to fulfil its obligations.

The underlying principle is that a participant who has complied with his or her agreements should not have to bear the financial consequences of another party's failure to do so.

Privacy and discretion

PPC is not a public social network.

The identity of a collector does not automatically have to be disclosed to a model or photographer. Conversely, personal information relating to models and photographers is not automatically disclosed to collectors.

Communication and assignments can, as far as possible, be handled through PPC, so that personal contact details, payment information and other private information do not need to be shared unnecessarily between participants.

Content, portfolios and project information can likewise be made visible only to the audience for which they are intended.

Models and photographers

Models have access to a personal environment within PPC where they can manage their portfolio and sedcard.

A model decides which images are publicly visible and which remain available only within a restricted environment.

Photographers may be invited because of their style, experience or an existing collaboration with a model.

If a model and photographer already work together regularly and both are admitted to PPC, they may also carry out assignments together. However, the final choice of photographer for a specific assignment remains with the collector.

Invitation only

PPC is accessible by invitation only.

Models, photographers and collectors are selected by James Pondagross, his team or authorised scouts.

Participation is only possible from the age of 18.

An invitation never means that someone is obliged to accept a particular assignment. Participants can assess in advance whether a proposed assignment is suitable for them.

Once an assignment has been definitively awarded and accepted, however, the agreed conditions apply to all parties involved.

The complete rules regarding assignments, moodboards, payments, cancellations, privacy, usage rights and disputes are set out in our Terms & Conditions.

Please therefore always read the applicable Terms & Conditions before accepting an assignment.

Have you been invited? We look forward to welcoming you soon to the Pondagross Private Collection.
